XiangMei Wuxi Hotel is a 4 star hotel in a rapidly expanding area of Wuxi. The old village Meicun's still there but changes also very fast. Shops, flats, roads, everything here is new. Fascinating to watch.

The hotel is new, opened around Christmas 2006. I've stayed since June 2007 here for 7 times for my work, and 1 time a week's holiday. It is a good hotel, not so super internationally yet, but everytime it improves and more and more staff (reception, restaurant) speaks English. The rooms are clean, with a wide range of toiletries, water and free tea and dressing gown, slippers (deluxe rooms).

Internet is free at the hotel. In the roomprice is standard 1 breakfast an extra breakfast costs 30 RMB.

There is also an extensive recreational program (including gym, snooker, sauna, massage, KTV).

In short, a good hotel. Note that downtown/trainstation is 16 km away, but that does not have to be aproblem. A taxi will cost 45 RMB. Book at [--]
