We stayed at this hotel for one week in August during the olympics and it was really nice.
The rooms were designed perfectly for tourist/business and very well equipped/furnished from international plug sockets to plasma TV screens in each main room.
Staff - Amazing, as they helped every day in arranging travel to and from Beijing, calling taxis, assisting in getting us international calling cards, sightseeing advice/bookings. They spoke good English and we found them exceptionally helpful.
Room services – They did a brilliant job and none of our belongings ever went missing! Very kind and polite ladies.
At the end of our stay they gave us a gift, lovely traditional Chinese chop stick set.
Fantastic hotel , affordable and I would highly recommend this along with there other sister hotels.
The spacious 2-bed room apartment at the Somerset Olympic Tower costs less than the hotel rooms in Sheraton, Renainssance or Hotel Nikko, and it's 3 times bigger! Upon check in, we got welcome fruits on the dining table. The apartment is huge and well-maintained. Nice balcony with great views of the city. Fully-equipped kitchen. Washer/dryer. The apartment is cleanned daily. Breakfast is free, with tasty western, Chinese and Japanese style food. More restaurants are on the ground floor and basement of the same buiding. Internet costs 50 CNY/day.
