The facilities are ok, but the staff at the reception desk gets just too greedy as soon as they see westerners walk in. Be careful with the tour to the Shaolin temple they offer. They'll tell you it's 40 yuan to get there and back, the entrance ticket you pay at the door. But once you are in the bus, they don't speak any english and they will try to sell you their ticket for about 170 yuan, which includes a bunch of things you might not want to see and they will try to make you understand it is not possible to see only the temple. They will be very insistent, but if you are strong :-) and say NO, you will be able to see just the Shaolin temple for just 100 yuan. Also, don't hesitate to try to reduce the price for things like laundry and don't tell them what you are planning for the day...as soon as they see you go through the reception, they'll call a friend cab driver who will demand outrageous prices for short rides
