We spent a couple of nights in Luoyang and stay in Luoyang Jujia Hostel, it was great; owner was very friendly and also help us to find the best and chepest way to rich each of touristic places, he also picked us up at rail station, so it was easy to get his place. Also a good oportunity to have chats with chinesse people as is as a familiar enviroment. Thanks very much for lovely days in your place and for the tea :)
As previously stated, it is actually a private apartment outside the city. I would advise you to visit in summer, autumn or spring. We stayed one night in winter and had to leave the next day, as there is NO HEATING. It is a shame because we would have liked to stay longer. It is outside the city and has lots of interesting streets and good food around. Like I said, come in the warmer months...
It was a very nice place to stay, although it was not a hostel. It is a appartment of a father and son, outside of Luoyang in a typical Chinese neighborhood.
They were very friendly and hospitable! You stay in the middle of everyday Chinese life! You can enjoy real Chinese food. Because there are not many people staying here (I was the only one in november 08), is maybe to quiet for real fun seeking backpackers.. The bathroom and other facilities are a bit poor, but the ambience within t
