Great. Definitely worth an excursion from Xiamen: about 30 to 45minutes by shuttle bus/cab to find yoursefl in another world (albeit in the middle of a remote industrial park)

The Hotel is well run, food is good and the link to the Hot springs (situated on the other side of the dual carriageway) is easy

A very chilled-out place to spend some time.

An Impressive hotel resort. We got put here by our travel agent. The resort is about 40 minutes out of town and in the middle of an industrial area with a dusty town to the right of the main building. We would have preffered to stay in central Xiamen. But the hotel was fantastic, impressive grounds and hot spring park across the road. Service was first class. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes this kind of resort holiday. BTW there is a charming old village about 200 metres to the left of the main building which is not immediately apparent. Once you wander in there are ancient houses, narrrow alleys, a temple and real village life. Very interesting for a walking tour.

A friend had suggested a hot springs vacation and Japan was too far for a weekend getaway from Hong Kong so we decided to try out Riyuegu in Xiamen. Having been a seasoned traveler in China, I was expecting Riyuegu to be just average at best given my experience with non-international hotels in China. To my very pleasant surprise, this resort has excellent clean hot spring facilities with a good variety of different pools. The rooms are beautiful and modern, and the bathroom has a large stone bath tub with hot spring water. Food was great but there were not many choices of restaurants, and perhaps the biggest drawback was there was not much to do within a 15-minute radius of the resort since the city is about half hour away, although I could have spent more time at the spa.

Top class facility highly recommended for a short getaway, for friends, couples or even the entire family. I believe the hot springs facility is also open to non-hotel guests with a separate fee. Not recommended to go on a rainy day since the hot spring facilities are outdoors but according to the staff, an indoor facility is being constructed.

With most of the flights fully booked out for CNY period this year, me and my Australian bf ended up going to Xiamen during the long weekend as it was the only flight left for nearby cities. My bf was giving me grief as he was sceptical that it was going to be a good break since the concept of hotspring in China wasnt very appealing to him. Well, thank god all that changed when we arrived at the resort.

I must say that we were very impressed with Riyuegu resort as we were made to feel very welcome there. The rooms are nicely decorated, spacious and clean even thou the resort is about 3 years old as some of the places i have visit starts to fall apart by then. The best part of the rooms is that it comes with hot tubs with fresh hotspring water for us to soak in on days when we just wanted privacy.

As it was the CNY period, the resort was fully booked out & the hot spring park was pack. Despite that, i must comment that the management did a good job in getting guest to keep the place clean.

We were amazed at how big the hotspring park is. Their interesting concept of different types of hotspring such as red white tub, floral garden & etc were pretty interesting. Food at the theme park was good i must say. My bf totally enjoyed himself having a feet rub & head massage simultanely while lying on the hot stone! I bullied him into trying the fish therapy.. ha ha ha

Highly recommended for people whom want to try something different other than your usual holiday to bali and Bangkok. Go with an open mind and have fun! We had a blast!!!!

I booked a stay with Riyuegu during a recent business trip, and was impressed that the hotel comes with its very own Hot Springs theme park. In this open-air theme park you can actually walk around in your bathing suit to try out the various kinds of hot springs and spas and massages they offer. An ideal place to be for a corparate getaway or a family holiday.

The spacious rooms also have hot spring water channeled into their bathtubs - on days i didn't feel like going outside i can still stay indoor and enjoy my hotspring bath. The friendly staff saw to my needs and even arranged to take me for a sightseeing tour in the city area.

Overall I would recommend this place to anyone who's stopping by in Xiamen, despite that it may be a little far from the airport - the relaxing ambience made me feel like i was on holiday!

I had the chance to visit Xiamen together with my friends and found this place just the best for my family. Our kids had easy access to the outside pool from the hotel. We were able to have nice hot spring in our own suite. I like the hot spring better in riyuegu because it doesn't have the strong smell like the one we have in Taiwan and it is very clear. The front desk has always been helpful. The theme park was big and good for the entire family to enjoy with differnt kinds of hot spring. The explanation on each hotsprings were very helpful to understand what each hotspring contains and its therapeutic effect. The hotel is also very close to an indepement golf course within 15 minutes so men were gone for the day, while the women had good spas. I think this is a perfect hotel for a short stop in Xiamen.

Riyuegu Hotsprings is a luxury hotel with a wonderful hotsprings theme park next door. The hotel has a very nice adult pool, kids pool and hot tub to relax and play in. It is surrounded by nice landscaping and lawn chairs and two person wood swings to relax in making a day at the pool viable. The hotel also has 4 1/2 star building although the service is not at that level due to lack of experience, although quite friendly and helpful. However, the real attraction is the hotsprings theme park next door, which I'd rate 5 stars. It has a trail where you wander from one hot tub to another, each with a different seasoning, e.g. lemon, tea, aloe, etc... You can finish it off with a nice message. The park was recently built and is quite new looking. We visited after we arrived and it got our long weekend off to a great start. Also, they have a nice outdoor restaurant by the theme park pool with delicious hand-pulled noodles, which are fun for the kids to watch. The park also has a childs playground, sand volleyball court, volleyball and basketball in the pool, plus a pool bar. The hotel has electric cars which shuttle you across the highway to the park (not as bad as it sounds). Check out the website for some nice pictures. I've done extensive traveling (over 25 countries) and never been anyplace like this so its worth the trip for some nice rest and relaxation. We booked through Dragon Airlines Vacations which gave us airfare, hotel, breakfast and transporation from Hong Kong for $8000 HKD (about $1,025 USD) total for 4 days, 3 nights during golden week for a family of 3. There was about a $200 USD charge for two visits and three dinners at the hotsprings theme park. This also provided hotel pickup at the airport, which is highly desireable given the rather poor state of taxi cabs in Xiamen. Having someone in your party who speaks Mandarin is helpful but not required for the hotel . Some of the staff do speak English although don't expect taxi cab drivers or locals to speak English. Try to get a room facing the inside (pool) area as it is quiter, lighter and more peaceful than the rooms on the outside of the hotel. However, the buffet breakfasts at the hotel were 3 stars with limited selection and often running out of items temporarily. Dinners at the theme park were more enjoyable so we ate all our dinners there. We also spent a day on Gulangyu Island which is scenic and the top place to visit in Xiamen. The hotel has a bus that takes you into the city and drops you at the bus station but without someone who speaks Mandarin you'll be lost. You also have to take another bus to get to the ferry to get to the island. I recommend having the hotel setup a car drop off and pickup to and from the ferry, which although a bit more expensive would save you a lot of time and be more convenient. On the island the tour guides are very cheap and recommended ($20 RMB for a day) but be careful as they will take you for lunch at a place where we paid $100 USD, which was a ripoff although the food was tasty so be on your guard. Overall, this is a great long weekend if you live in Asia and want to get away from the city and relax.

I stayed at the Riyuegu Hotsprings Hotel about 1 month back and I must say that it was such a pleasant suprise. This is perhaps the best experience I have ever had in a hotel in China. The staff were warm and friendly. They also have a great hotsprings themepark next to the hotel and that place is amazing. The place is so serene you can get lost in the atmosphere. Definitely one of the best places to go to for a relaxing holiday. I highly recommend this resort.
