Holiday Inn is located along the Hai He River at the intersection of a main avenue, Zhong Shan Road and Tian Wei Road. I booked this hotel with TravelChinaGuide booking center. Firstly, TCG provides excellent service, I was very satisfied with TCG service, and I will use it again in my next trip. As for the hotel, this hotel is clean, solid, modern and all you could want for a typical 3-4 star hotel in China. Complimentary bottled water and fresh fruit was in my room at check-in. The breakfast was the usual assortment of Asian / Western items. In all, I would like to recommend TCG and Holiday Inn Hotel all everyone.

This being the Holiday Inn, the term "adequate" sums it up. No surprises here. Nothing too luxurious but clean and efficient. Location was adequate for my purpose. The breakfast buffet was ok but note that it is cheaper to order room service than take the buffet that offers limited choice.

The room was clean, internet worked well but the fan in the bathroom was not very strong. I also never managed to change my room temperature no matter how low I turned down the thermostat. But nothing unusual for this hotel category.

I went to the pool. Chemical content was much too strong as it burned my lips. I guess that they need to add a lot of chemicals with the Chinese clients spitting in the water despite the warning signs. Quite a turn-off that got me out of the water quickly.

Finally, at the time of my stay the hotel was under renovation. Being totally covered by scaffoldings you are asked not to open your curtains to get some privacy. You can't see a thing any ways if you open your curtains, can't even tell the weather. It can get depressing after a few days if you need to stay in your room to do some work.

I thought this facility was excellant. I would recommend this hotel. It has a good breakfast, nice clean equiped rooms, and the exercise facility is much better than the normal facilities found in mainland China.

I stayed here on the recommendation of a cab driver - we re-booked from a different hotel while on the drive from the airport. This hotel is clean, solid, modern and all you could want for a typical 3-4 star hotel in China. Complimentary bottled water and fresh fruit was in my room at check-in. The breakfast was the usual assortment of Asian / Western items.
