This was one of the nicer hotels we stopped in whilst touring China with a small group. The rooms were clean and there were fresh bathrobes in the wardrobe (a small luxury during our '1 rucksack each' tour.) As someone else mentioned, beds, like many other Chinese hotels, were rock hard. My advice, if there is a spare duvet in the closet, sleep on it for a little extra cushioning!
Not a great hotel but not terrible. Rooms good size and nice large bathrooms. Like most Chinese owned and managed hotels the beds are very hard and it is like sleeping on a blank of wood.
The breakfast have a good selection of western food. There are a couple of English TV channels with over 50 Chinese channels.
Located within an easy walk of the main square and the restaurant area.
Stayed May 2006. Just been repainted & refurbished so pleasantly surprised. Clean, well equipped and better than expected. Breakfast buffet good too.
Decor in room was fine but dining area was tatty. You could see through to the kitchen which was dirty with broken tiles on the walls, etc. Room was very very smelly (drains) and this smell was also in other areas of the hotel although not so bad.
Avoid it if at all possible!
