Only 45 mins from the airport, Spring City in KunMing is very pretty, and the weather this time of year is fantastic (may be a little too cold in the morning/evenings though). Windy Lakes course, fast greens, but all very well-maintained, with excellent caddies. The resort itself is 4.5 stars, not much of a gym, and an ok spa. The resort packages are good value for money, however the resort was pretty full with Korean golfing groups when we were there. Please remember to tip the caddies well - they only make RMB 400 a month, and rely mainly on tips.
This 5-star resort is about one hours drive from Kunming City. We stayed in one of the 2-bedroom villas on the hillside. They are of excellent quality with fantastic views of the golf course, lake, or mountains. The beds are very comfortable and the television has many channels to choose from. A buggy or van is required to take you down to the clubhouse and reception, and the drivers are efficient and friendly. My only complaint would be a cockroach in my bathroom.
The two golf courses are the best that i have ever played in. My favourite is the lake course. The caddies are efficient and friendly, the views to-die-for, and the quality of the grass and maintenance of the course itself is top-notch. But be careful, they have the fastest greens ever!!
The hotel boasts very good restaurants with great food, gym, spa, bars and many others. Unlikely you'll get bored here!
This is truly a world class place.. everything was laid out perferct from the arrival time(midnight0 to check out..
We stayed in the villas over the hotel which I recommend.. Very easy to get around just call and a golf cart will be their in 5 minutes ..
3 places to eat and a variety of food all the way to pizza's.
Now the best.. the golf courses are just beatiful cut out of the mountain.. WE played the Lakes the most .. If you come bring the BEST Putter you have.. one guy who is a good golfer 3 putted like 12 times .. JUST FAST!
The views when playing will last a life time..
Our group had 12 people and we plan to return in the fall

Have been to this Golf Resort more than 8 times over the past 4 yrs. Still not getting tired of it for the following reasons :-
1. Great climate - it's almost always cool throughout the yr.
2. Great golf - both Mountain & Lake courses.
3. Great accomodation - so spacious that u can feel lonely staying there.
4. Good service all round
5. Good massage service
6. Good nightlife nearby.
Only setback is the costs - it is rather expensive.
Still excellent for a 4-5 days stay. Will be there again in Oct !!
