My husband and I stayed there for four nights. Our son is a guest lecturer at Harbin Insitute of Technology in Harbin and HIT owns the hotel. We stayed there because of the location in relation to our son's residence and not because of the amenities or the location of the hotel itself. While the staff was extremely pleasant and helpful, their English is very, very limited, to say the least. The room was adequate, although the bathroom smelled and had mildew. They are in the process of refurbishing some of the guest rooms. The food at the restaurants was excellent- some of the best that we have had in all of our visits to China. We both in the Korean restaurant and the Chinese restaurant and service was as good as the food. The morning buffet had a good choice of both western and Chinese breakfast foods, but the coffee is instant and the tea is made with tea bags. A large number of Russian tourists stay at the Sinoway.
