It was a great choice, great location in the heart of the business district, service was excellent, every one speaks good English.

As a seasoned traveler,I would not recommend this hotel unless no other options remained in Guangzhou. Although modern, it is more of a facade. The overall staff is not trained to handle International travelers and I would give them no more than two stars. The cleaning staff was good although I rarely received the correct newspaper I requested daily. The worst experience was receiving a complementary breakfast, then being hassled six times throughout my breakfast that I was not entitled to one. I told them I'd pay for the breakfast just so I could eat peacefully. Also the walls of my room were so thin that I was awoken on several nights by guests on both sides of my room. It was easy to hear them speaking as well as reluctantly listening to them going to the bathroom. While the hotel provides free Internet service, I had the misfortune of an unstable electrical circuitry that burned out two of my power supplies to my laptop, something that has never happened at the other hotels I've stayed at. Their gym is set up in two large rooms but the equipment is so old that some of the adjustments were rusted shut! I also tried to lift a 20kg dumbbell but that too was stuck to the rack. Lastly, the fluctuation of the water temperature was annoying. This will be the last time I step foot into this hotel.

stayed for 2 nights for business, paid RMP700 (£50) per night for a deluxe ensuite room on 50th floor, overlooking the city with amazing view. the room did not include any breakfast.

ok location, cost about RMP25 by taxi from train station, and about 20 minutes away (depends on traffic condition). not much of a shopping district, nothing interesting or exciting within walking distance.

good hotel in general with most facilities included, there were a good chinese restaurant, a grill/ bar and a big but rather empty shopping mall. there are banks, post office and cash machine within the mall.

no problem when check in but took a while when check out. very friendly and helpful staffs, great room very spacious and clean, good living room, bathroom, dressing room and bedroom. tv in lounge and bedroom, bathrobes, extra blankets, hair dryer, tea/ coffee/ free bottled water, toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, sewing kit, shoes cloth, internet, stationery, etc. no iron and ironing board in room but can request from housekeeping (they gave me after more than 1 hour, but left them in my room for days until i asked to remove them).

bathtub did not hold water but friendly staff tried their best to help.

booked express train to hongkong from hotel, cost RMP240 per person plus RMP20 handling fee, but provided free shuttle bus from hotel to train station.

we forgot and left something in room after checked out and in the free shuttle bus on our way to station, the hotel staff called driver's mobile and let us know about it. the driver asked for our permission then immediately turned around and went back to hotel, there was a staff waiting outside (in small rain) and handed us back the stuff. the whole event was handled very professionally and efficiently, they never even try to ask for any tips. we arrived the train station with plenty of time to pass the custom office and even had a cup of coffee. we were very much impressed by the devoted hotel staffs. big thumb up for them.

this is a good hotel with very good price, will stay again.

Huge hotel with very good location near restaurants, bars etc. But that's where it ends. Rooms are 3-star badly needing renovation. Broadband is slow (it's free though). Breakfast is pretty poor, service is bad and there are too few elevators (during the Canton fair). I would probably try Garden or Holiday Inn on the same street instead.

Outside is a nice place. Into the rooms, is horrible, small and dirty, the service is poor and the personal is bad.
