The Clifford Hotel is a 4-star hotel but charging only a 2-star price (about US$75 per night during the Summer peak). The hotel is easily reached by ferry and cross-border bus from Hong Kong. If you choose ferry, it takes about 1.5 hrs + 30 mins shuttle bus starting your journey from Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. For cross-border bus, it takes about 3 - 3.5 hrs from most parts of Hong Kong direct to the hotel.

Clifford is actually a huge leisure development, it includes a themed farm especially for family living in urban area, a large water park, an indoor swimming pool, a medium-size kids room, a large massage centre, etc. A huge national park is nearby with cycling at the lakeside. There is also a huge zoo and water world within 15 mins drive. It's an ideal place for family. Travelling to Guangzhou takes about 25 mins by taxi which cost about US$12.

The room itself is a standard 3 to 4-star hotel room, don't expect "deluxe" but all you need will be there: hair-dryer, tooth brush, hot bath, etc. The buffet breakfast is good and the buffet dinner is also value for money (US$12 per person)!!

I will certainly come again and will recommend to others!
