I stayed there from May 9 to May 12. The hotel is just 100 meters southeast of the railway station. I liked the hospital staff there. The room are cosy. And there is charged internet. I enjoyed the free breakfast particularly. You have a great deal of choices because there were various kinds of food, western and traditional Chinese food.
This hotel appears to think it's a top-class business hotel, but in reality the staff don't appear to have a clue what they're doing, the beds are even more rock-hard than in most Chinese hotels, and you get about an eighth of a normal roll of toilet paper per night. The staff will give you more toilet roll if you ask them, but I find it slightly emarassing to have to keep asking. Its like being back at school and asking if you can go to the toilet.
In their defence, the hotel does proudly boast that they can offer hot water 24 hours a day!!!
The hotel literature which you'll find in your room says that the staff "offer you an emotional service which comes straight out of our hearts", but in reality if you try and communicate with them in English they'll just giggle at you. When I tried my excellent Mandarin skills on them it made them giggle at me even more. Every time we had to ask reception to do something really complicated (eg. check us in, check us out, tell us what time the restaurant opened) about 5 of the staff had to have a 5 minute conference with each other to work out the best plan of action.
The restaurant food was quite nice, but the restaurant was very noisy and the service was very slow with lots of giggling, confused waitresses.
The whole experience was quite amusing, and if you like the idea of staying at a hotel which is like the set of a sitcom you might enjoy yourself, but if you're expecting the comfort and convenience of a good hotel, you might be a bit disappointed.
